landrush period for .es domain names

ESNIC (nic.es), the spanish domain name registry, has just announced the landrush period for .es domain names which will take place over a 4 day period, starting 8th Nov at 7 a.m. European time.

.es domains represent Spain on the Internet. Spanish is the native language for around 500 million people in 20 countries around the world, figures that are confirmed by recently published newsletter from EuroDNS.com, a worldwide registrar specializing in European domains. A widely spoken language and until now restricted TLD with less than 100,000 registered domains, is an Eldorado for domaingrabbers and speculators. At Eurodns '.es' domains are immediately available for 18 Euro plus VAT.

As a part of the .be promotions, the Belgium Registry (europeregistry.com) has announced a free offer for .be domain names for a period of one year, starting 1st Nov to 31st Jan, 2006. There are no restrictions prior to the registrations like local presence or any limit on quantities. EuroDNS offers the first ten registrations of .be domain names for free after which a nominal charge of 4 Euro is incurred.
